Students must meet the following
health requirements:
 
 

1. Be able to reach and adjust the x-ray tube which is at a height of 76" to 80" from the floor (can use a 6" step stool).

2. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds minimum.

3. Must be able to give clear verbal commands to the patient who is positioned for a radiograph at a distance of 6-10 feet from the control area.

4. Must not be physically dependent on non-prescription drugs.

5. Must not be highly allergic to developer or fixer chemicals.

6. Must have sight corrected so as to be able to read and adjust control panel and to be able to corrrectly position the patient, including seeing positioning lights on the radiographic units.

7. Hearing must be corrected so as to be able to hear the patient at a distance of 6-10 feet.

8. Must be able to tolerate physically taxing workloads and function effectively under stress.
