Volunteers are a vital and important part of our health care service at
Rice.
Volunteers range in age from 17 on up! They serve in many areas of the
hospital including:
- Information
desk--directing visitors
- Gift
shop--selling flowers and gifts
- Emergency
Services -- escorting patients & families
- Radiation
Oncology--greeting patients & families
- Admissions--escorting
patients & families
- Hemodialysis--assisting
staff with clerical responsibilities
- Surgical
Lounge--keeping families informed
- Health
Insurance Counseling--assisting with medical bills
- Rice
Care Center--assisting with clerical duities, faciliting activities
and one-to-one visiting
- Special
Projects
- Hospice--assisting
with patient care, clerical duities & bereavement service
- Rice
Rehabilitation Center--assisting staff with clercial responsiblities
- IDC/Cardiac
Rehabilitation--clerical duities and greeting patients & families
