WILLMAR, MN (February 2017) – Beverly Bruse, Housekeeper at Rice Care Center, received the Caregiver of The Year award for District E, from LeadingAge Minnesota at its Stars Among Us Awards Reception on February 8.
The Stars Among Us Caregivers of the Year and Volunteers of the Year awards shine a spotlight on the dedicated people who make a difference in the lives of aging Minnesotans around the state. District E covers the southwest part of the state and is one of seven LeadingAge Minnesota districts.
In her nomination, the Rice Care Center staff said, “Bev’s love and caring compassion for our seniors is beyond measure, and her work ethic is something that cannot go unrecognized. Bev’s career at Rice Care Center began in 1974 as a Laundry Aide, and after 41 years, Bev has served as a Housekeeping Aide, Housekeeping/Laundry Director, Household Coordinator and Mentor, and Homemaker. Bev has touched the lives of countless residents, families, employees, coworkers, and members of the community.”
