Rice Memorial Hospital nurses win major award

By Tribune News, West Central Tribune, Dec 2, 2014, WILLMAR – The entire pediatric nursing unit at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar won a major award from the Minnesota Nurses Association at the organization’s recent annual convention.

Vickie Anderson, Patricia Dahlseid, Kimberly Davis, Darlene Donahue, Catherine Giroux, Karen Janssen, Jamie Malone, Barbara Miller, and Denise Rekedal received the Audrey Logsdon/Geraldine Wedel Award for contributing significantly to nurses and nursing practice through collective bargaining activities.

The nurses were recognized for their advocacy for patients and patient safety.

  1. Congratulations to the pediatric nursing staff. Way to make the care for the pediatric patients in your facility safer. My son was a patient on your unit 4 years ago and had wonderful care. Keep up the good work.
