Patient Support Area
In The New Rice, we have abandoned the old concept of a central nursing station in favor of new, decentralized patient support areas. This means that our patients are all within closer proximity to our staff so that we can respond quickly and efficiently to their needs. Our call light system is now linked with our wireless phone system so that staff are able to respond to a patient, no matter where they happen to be. We also have a wireless monitoring system in our new patient care areas so that we are able to monitor a patient's vital signs at all times, right from the patient support area.
