Job Placement Assessment

A Job Placement Assessment helps employers by measuring a non-injured person's capacity to meet the maximum physical requirements of the job.

it provides specific and accurate information on:

  • lifting, pushing/pulling, and carrying activities
  • need for instruction in proper lifting techniques
  • cardiovascular responses to physical activities

It provides a true picture of physical ability, not overall physical condition.

It involves a series of specific, objective body motions administered by a KEY Certified Assessment Specialist that takes place either at the work site or in the Rice Rehab Center.

It follows a thorough analysis of the job site and tasks, allowing the occupational therapist to administer an assessment consistent with job requirements.
