Aquatic Therapy is designed people of all ages who are seeking relief from joint pain or want to increase muscle strength. When the whole body is immersed in water, an individual experiences a 90% weight loss; making movement and exercise much more comfortable. An individual feels lighter, can move easier and experience greater mobility in the water. You do not have to know how to swim to participate.

All classes are held in the 22 x 63 ft. therapeutic pool at the Willmar Regional Treatment Center. The pool is kept at a temperature of 90-94 degrees Fahrenheit, with the 2-person Jacuzzi whirlpool at 100 degrees. The Aquatics Instructor/Physical Therapist Assistant is trained in water safety, lifeguarding and specialized aquatic exercise.
