thaden

Kristen Thaden, MS, CCC-SLP

Kristen received an undergraduate degree from SDSU and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from St. Cloud State University in 1997.  She holds a certificate of clinical competence through the national organization, the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). 

She has been practicing for 16 years and has experience with all ages.  She is currently working primarily with pediatrics while she enjoys seeing adult patients in the hospital and outpatient setting as well.  A special area of interest of hers is working with children with autism in a multidisciplinary approach.

Kimberly Kleven, MS, CCC-SLP

Kimberly received a Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Arizona in 2007. She has a certificate of clinical competence through the national organization, the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

Kimberly is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) program.  Her professional interests include:  aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia, speech, voice, apraxia of speech, head and neck cancers, generative neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, augmentative alternative communication (AAC), cognition, fluency, and articulation.

Brooke Baeth, MA, CCC-SLP

Brooke received an undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in Speech-Language Pathology. She has a certificate of clinical competence through the national organization, the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).

She has been practicing for 9 years and has experience working in a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation for adults and pediatrics, and an educational setting. She is currently working primarily with pediatrics and loves it!



nikki hjelden

Nikki Hjelden, DPT

Nikki graduated with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in 2007.  She is certified in the LSVT Big program for treatment of Parkinson’s Disease.  Other interests include Strategic Orthopedics for headaches, TMJ, neck and back care; aquatic therapy; myofascial release; children's therapy. 

Outside of work , she enjoys spending time with her family, running and participating in road races, hiking, snowshoeing, and playing volleyball.

Stephanie Volk, MPT

Stephanie received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in 1997.  Her professional interests include orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, sacro-iliac joint dysfunction, and balance training. 

She has attended continuing education courses in the following areas: myokinesthetics for the upper and lower extremities, pilates, balance training and falls prevention, Kinesiotaping, ACL rehabilitation, functional strengthening, and core strengthening.

Jess Nokleby, DPT

Jessica received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Mayo School of Health Sciences in Rochester, MN in 2010.  Her professional interests include working with patients with low back pain, neck pain, headaches, and other joint pain and dysfunction. 

She also enjoys working with patients with balance impairments.  She has completed continuing education training in Strategic Orthopedics approach to low back pain, neck pain, and headaches as well as myofascial release.  Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, camping, playing volleyball and softball, and spending time with friends and family.

Melissa Mortenson, MPT, ATC

Melissa graduated with a bachelors degrees in Athletic Training in 2002 and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2004, both from the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND. 

She is a Certified Athletic Trainer and an APTA credentialed clinical instructor.  She has attended continuing education in sports medicine, aquatic therapy, various manual therapy techniques, vestibular rehabilitation, Strategic Orthopedics, and myofascial release.

Liz Hoff, PT, DPT

Liz received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota in 2012. She enjoys working with a variety of patient populations and diagnoses in the rural outpatient setting.  Her professional interests include aquatic therapy, post-surgical patients, pre and post-natal care, adult neurological rehab, and back pain.

Outside of work, she enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with family (including two hound dogs and a pig), fishing, and traveling.

 

 

 

 

karyn loos

Karyn Loos, OTR/L, ATP

Karyn graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1989 with a degree in occupational therapy. She is also an assistive technology professional (ATP). 

She specializes in wheelchair and wheelchair equipment evaluations and recommendations, including pressure mapping for wheelchair users.  She also performs driving evaluations, Impact concussion assessments, cognitive testing and general OT therapies.

sarah tanner

Sara Tanner, OTR/L, CDT-LANA

Sara graduated with a degree in Occupation Therapy from the College of St. Catherine in 1995.  She has worked at Rice Rehab Center since 1996, with special interest of providing hand therapy to varying diagnoses such as carpal tunnel,  complex regional pain syndrome, fractures, trigger finger, flexor and tendon repairs, various nerve compressions, and other shoulder, elbow, and hand injuries/surgeries.

Sarah also has interests in industrial rehabilitation. Sarah is certified lymphedema therapist through the Lymphology Association of North America. Sarah has participated in further continue education in myofascial release, myokinestic system,  traumatic brain injury, stroke and low vision.



Jill Werner, OTR/L

Jill received her undergraduate degree from Saint Cloud State University and a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota- Twin Cities. She has attended additional courses on specialized therapy techniques for children, including the Alert Program for Self-Regulation.

She primarily works in the outpatient pediatric clinic, and also enjoys working with patients in the hospital and adult settings. Jill performs driving evaluations, ImPACT concussion assessments, Parkinson Disease assessment clinics, and works with the Child Adolescent Behavioral Health Center in Willmar.



Meghan Leroux, OTR/L

Meghan earned her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2009 and a Master of Arts in Occupational Therapy from the University of St. Catherine in 2013.  She has completed additional courses in sensory integration related to self-modulation, sensory diets, and visual processing skills.

Outside of work, Meghan enjoys running marathons, biking, playing volleyball, spending time outdoors, visiting family in Wisconsin, and cheering on the Packers!

Jan received a Masters degree in Physical therapy from the University of North Dakota in 1998.  Her professional interests include aquatic therapy and women’s health. 

She has taken continuing education courses in the areas of myofascial release and the Strategic Orthopedics approach to low back pain.

Jill Hovland, DPT

Jill is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.  She graduated from Mayo School of Health-Related Sciences with a Masters degree in Physical Therapy in 1994 and received her Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy degree through the College of St. Scholastica in 2010. 

She has worked for Rice Hospital since 1994, in a variety of settings, including inpatient, long-term care and the outpatient clinic.  She currently works in the inpatient setting at Rice Hospital and supervises the inpatient Rehabilitation Department.  Her primary interests include orthopedics, stroke patients and a wide variety of surgical patients.

Anne Hultgren, MPT

Anne received her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the College of St. Catherine in 1997.  Her clinical experience includes:  women’s health, orthopedics, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, low back pain, neck pain, headaches/migraines, TMJ, functional capacity examination, job placement testing, in patient physical therapy, geriatrics and home health. 

She has completed continuing education courses in the following areas:  Myofascial Release, Cranio Sacral therapy, Strain/Counter Strain, Viceral Manipulation, Strategic Orthopedics for the low back, neck and headaches/migraines, Urinary Incontinence, Work Well assessments, KEY Method assessments and Core stabilization techniques.


Anne has been employed at Rice Rehabilitation Center since 1997.  She and her family live in the Raymond area and are active in the community.

Jenny Iverson, DPT

Jenny received a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in 2008.  She has attended continuing education courses for lymphedema, Strategic Orthopedic treatment for low back pain, neck pain, and headaches, myofascial release, and pediatrics. 

Her professional interests include lymphedema management, cancer rehabilitation, and pediatrics.  She is certified in lymphedema management.



cindy meyer

Cindy Meyer, PTA

Cindy graduated from St. Mary’s Junior College in Minneapolis, MN in 1978 as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  Her professional interests include inpatient rehabilitation, geriatric rehabilitation, and pre- and post-operative joint replacement rehabilitation. 

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and being an active member of the Lion’s Club.
