Rice Care Center
Rice Care Center provides a team approach to creating a home-like environment for those we are priviledged to care for during life's transitions. We are dedicated to fostering Respect, Integrity, Compassion and Excellence for everyone in all we do.
Rice Care Center is an 73 bed skilled nursing facility located in a park-like neighborhood on the west edge of Willmar at 1801 SW Willmar Ave. The facility is owned by Rice Memorial Hospital and provides a continuum of care for those needing strengthening rehabilitation services following hospitalization or for those needing long-term care.
Rice Care Center is Medicare and Medicaid certified and is accredited by the Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations.

- Cardiac Rehabilitation Programs

Residents and their family members, along with Rice Care Center's interdisciplinary care team, develop care and services to meet the individualized needs of those needing long-term care. Our goal is to provide a homelike, supportive environment while allowing the resident to remain as independent as possible and to make choices of daily pleasure.
Short-term Care
Following hospitalization, serious illness or injury, many patients need transitional care. At Rice Care Center we respond by tying together the vital pieces of health care, including skilled rehabilitation and medical care. Professional staff work with the resident's physician to establish an individualized care plan which facilitates a speedy rehabilitation and recovery. We make certain that services and rehabilitation programs initiated in the hospital are continued at Rice Care Center. More than half of our discharged residents return home after receiving the necessary physical, medical and social care they needed to help them return to independent living.
